\n\tDanielle Fishel is sharing why she was worried about starting her Boy Meets World<\/em>\u00a0rewatch podcast with her former co-stars\u00a0Rider Strong\u00a0and\u00a0Will Friedle.<\/p>\n \n\tThe actress told People<\/em> magazine in an interview published online Saturday that she feared the Pod Meets World<\/em> podcast \u201cmight ruin\u201d the popular ABC sitcom for fans.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe don\u2019t want our criticisms or our critiques or our experiences to in any way change what your opinion of the show is,\u201d Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence, said. \u201cThey\u2019re just our honest opinions, and we can\u2019t do it if we\u2019re not going to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDuring each podcast episode, the trio rewatches the series and shares behind-the-scenes moments and memories from their time on the show.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI was just left with one overarching feeling about the whole experience as opposed to the show and what its values were, or what its key points were, or how good it was,\u201d Fishel added. \u201cAnd so now getting to watch it, I\u2019m like, \u2018Man, it\u2019s a really good show,\u2019 and what a great experience we had.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBoy Meets World<\/em> premiered in 1993 and ran for seven seasons before ending in 2000. Disney+ also later launched a reboot, Girl Meets World<\/em>, that followed the life of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence\u2019s daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard). It aired for three seasons from 2014 to 2017.<\/p>\n \n\tWhen the former castmembers initially brought up the idea of launching the podcast about the show, Strong, who played Shawn Hunter, said, \u201cUltimately we settled on it as a sort of journey, rather than just watching the show and talking about how great it is, which we all agree, it is actually great.
