\n\tParamount+ has finally found a home in Japan. Paramount revealed Wednesday that the streaming service and its library will launch in the Japan market on Dec. 1 as a free-of-charge addition to the on-demand services of local operators J:COM and Wowow. J:COM is one of Japan\u2019s top cable television operators and broadband internet providers, while Wowow is the longstanding leading premium pay channel in the market.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe deal marks the second launch for Paramount+ in East Asia, following a similar arrangement set up last year in South Korea with\u00a0TVing, the streaming service controlled by Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM. Parmount+ also launched in Australia via a partnership in August 2021. In Europe, the service is available through partnerships with SKY in Italy, the U.K., and Germany, and with Canal+ in France.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Japan deal will give J:COM and Wowow subscribers access to Paramount+ originals like\u00a0Tulsa<\/em> King<\/em>,\u00a0Mayor of Kingstown<\/em>, and\u00a0Star Trek: Strange New Worlds<\/em>. The Paramount+ Japan offering also will include titles from Paramount\u2019s deep library of films and TV series: Mission: Impossible<\/em>,\u00a0Bumblebee<\/em>,\u00a0and\u00a0G.I. Joe<\/em>\u00a0from Paramount Pictures; popular CBS TV shows like\u00a0CSI: Crime Scene Investigation\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0NCIS<\/em>; animated favorites, such as Nickelodeon\u2019s\u00a0SpongeBob SquarePants<\/em>\u00a0and Comedy Central\u2019s\u00a0South Park<\/em>; and evergreen Showtimes\u00a0titles, such as\u00a0Dexter<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Ray Donovan<\/em>; and MTV\u2019s young-adult series and music shows, including the\u00a0MTV Video Music Awards Japan.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWith the launch of Paramount+ in Japan, we are now delivering hours of popular films and series to fans in all key streaming markets worldwide.
